It's easy to get lost in the hustle-bustle of New Jersey, but as far as weddings go in Essex County, one venue stands out among the rest. Nanina's in the Park is a hidden gem, nestled in the fresh hills of Branch Brook Park in Belleville, NJ. This unique wedding venue boasts both indoor and outdoor ceremony sites, and they even have a chapel coming in 2024. There is truly something for every couple.
The first thing I noticed when doing a live painting here of a first dance was the glamorous reception hall. The high, architectural ceilings had incredible detail that was artfully illuminated by enormous crystal chandeliers, throwing rainbow reflections around the room. The bride and groom came in to choose their up-lighting colors, settling on a classy pink that perfectly matched the florals and table settings. During the first dance, Nanina's had a smoke machine that made the moment even more romantic, as it gave the illusion that the couple had their first dance in the clouds.
As far as my adventures live painting in northern New Jersey go, I can honestly say that Nanina's has had the best food. Vendor meals are usually nothing to blog about, but Nanina's served us the most tender, flavorful beef that I have ever had at an event. Somehow this was not the best food of the evening. They pull out all the stops for cocktail hour. If you are a foodie bride or groom, Nanina's should definitely be a stop in your NJ wedding venue tour.
